New House

Here is a picture of the front of our new house.

Our (current) house was inspected on Friday and the buyers had a few items they wanted us to repair. We completed those this week so we are set to close on our current house at 10 AM May 6th. YEA!!

Then we had our new house inspection today and there are a few things that need to be repaired. The biggest thing is there is a lot of hail damage to the roof, we had tennis ball size hail last Thursday so the roof took a beating. So our requests have been sent to the sellers and we should hear back in the next few days. Selling/Buying a house has been exhausting. I am ready to be done so I can relax again.

We're Moving

The past two months we have been working to get our current house ready to sell. We painted the cabinets in the kitchen, put in new carpet and painted the outside of the house. We decided to put it on the market the end of March and before the sign was even in the yard we had somebody interested in looking at the house. Then on April 5th they made an offer and we close on May 6. Everything has happened so fast, a little faster than I think we were ready for, but it was great news. Houses on our street have been on the market for months and many have had to reduce their prices so we feared the same. I guess the updating paid off because we sold our house in about 10 days!

So onto looking for our next home we went. We found a nice house on some land (1/2 acre lot) and made an offer on the 13th and they accepted the next day and we close on June 3rd. We are so excited and can't wait to make memories in a new house. We will have lots of memories in our first home together, we brought Cade home to this house, so it will be kinda hard to leave. But I am sure the next house will be great. On top of all the moving we have a trip planned on April 26th, we are spending a week in New York City for our 8 year anniversary. So I have about 10 days to pack up the house and put it in storage, so a lot to do and I don't know if I can do it in 10 days. The good thing is we packed a lot of stuff when we put the carpet in last month so that helped.

Just wanted to give everyone an update since it has been a while, I will keep you posted on our new family adventure.

Change

I had a hair appointment on Wednesday and made a big decision......to go back to being a brunette. Here is a picture. Let me know what you think.

Cade wanted his picture taken also, so here is a picture of me and him. He fell at school yesterday while riding his scooter and busted his lip (the reason for the red spot on his lip).

Cade's Haircut and Singing Debut

Cade got a haircut this past weekend (way over due I might add) and he looks so much better. While I was trying to take some pictures of his new haircut he was listening to music on my iPhone and singing Alvin and the Chipmunks 'The Chipmunk Song/Christmas Don't Be Late'. I had to get some video of him singing, it is too cute.

In case you don't know the words here they are:

Christmas, Christmas time is near,
Time for toys and time for cheer.
We've been good, but we can't last,
Hurry Christmas, Hurry fast.
Want a plane that loops the loop,
Me, I want a Hula-Hoop.
We can hardly stand the wait,
Please Christmas don't be late.

Merry Christmas to Me

Craig and I went to the Ford dealership to attempt AGAIN to get out of my gas guzzling Durango. This time was a little different, we were successful. Here are some pictures of my NEW CAR! It is a black 2007 Ford Fusion.

Time for Christmas

Thanksgiving has come and gone in my house. My mom, dad, brother, sister and brother-in-law were in town for Thanksgiving. While they were here we ate, shopped and had a great time hanging out together.

Now it is on to the next holiday.....CHRISTMAS! My tree and fireplace are all decorated, even Craig's deer is festive (pictures are below). Cade helped decorate the tree this year, he kept saying 'This is the best Christmas ever!' It was so cute. I had to do some rearranging of some ornaments behind him because the one limb he was putting ornaments on begin to touch the ground. Craig also put our lights on the house while I was at work and these are the pictures I received.

Cade on the roof! I know you are thinking the same thing I was, I immediately called Craig to inquire why Cade was on the roof. Craig said that Cade wanted to help so he let him. I am just glad I was not there to witness the whole thing.

So me and Craig braved Black Friday once again this year with all the other crazy shoppers looking for those bargains. We started at Walmart at 4AM and returned to the house at 1PM for a long needed nap. My family met up with us a few times but I am sure they thought we were crazy for getting up that early and shopping literally until we dropped. But we saved some money and had a blast (if that is possible at 4AM).
Well here are a few pictures of our decorations.
